HOMEWORK- JUNE 7 – 10

We will call this week “STUDY WEEK” because you will be studying for your tests next week.  Each night I will give you so much Science and Social Studies to study.  All of your notes are in your notebooks.  You will be quizzed the next day on the material you are supposed to study.  STUDYING is HOMEWORK.  You are responsible for studying what is assigned to you for each night.  If you do not study then you will have twice as much to study for the next night.

    In school we will review Spelling and Vocabulary every day.

MONDAY:  What to study for SOCIAL STUDIES:

SCIENCE:   1.  What are three layers of the Earth?                                                         

                     2.  What are the four parts of a plant?

                     3.  What are the three parts of a flower?

                     4.  What are the three states of matter?

                     5.   What are the 4 forms of precipitations?

TUESDAY:

     SOCIAL STUDIES:  Giovanni da Verrazaro;   2.  Benedict Arnold;   3.  John Burgoyne;   4.  Alexander Hamilton;   5.  Ethan Allen;   6.  Elizabeth Cady Stanton;   7.  Harriet Tubman;   8.  Hiawatha;   9.  Nathan Hale;   10.  Samuel E. B. Morse;   11.  Sybil Ludington.

SCIENCE:  1.  What are the 6 simple machines?

                    2.  Name two Ecosystems.

                    3.  What is a carnivore?

                    4.  What are herbivores?

SCIENCE:   1.  What are the 5 parts of the digestive system?

                     2.  Name three parts of the circulatory system?

                     3.  Name five parts of the respiratory system?

                     4.  Name five parts of the muscular system?

                     5.  Name five parts of the skeletal system?

THURSDAY:

    SOCIAL STUDIES:  1.  loyalist;   2.  Patriot;   3.  longhouse;   4.  agriculture;   5.  patroon;  6.  Fort Ticonderoga;  7.  immigrant;  8.  ratify;   9.  Erie Canal;  10.  wampum;   11.  stock;   12.  lock.

   SCIENCE:  1.  What are the nine planets? (in their order from the sun)

                       2.  What are the three climates?

                       3.  What are the four parts of the atmosphere?

                       4.  What are three weather tools?

                       5.  What is the Greenhouse Effect?

                       6.  What are the inner planets?

                       7.  What are the outer planets?

GOOD LUCK STUDYING!   REMEMBER THIS INFORMATION IS IN YOUR NOTEBOOKS.  DON’T FORGET TO BRING IT HOME EACH EVENING AND BRING IT BACK  TO SCHOOL IN THE MORNING – VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
